Member of Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina receives honorary doctorate from Baku Slavic University
Member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina Mladen Ivanic has received honorary doctorate from Baku Slavic University.
Rector of the university Asif Hajiyev presented doctorate to Mladen Ivanic in a ceremony that was attended by students and teaching staff of the university.
In his remarks, Asif Hajiyev expressed his confidence that this meeting would contribute to the development of the Slavic studies, as well as the expansion of humanitarian relations between the two countries.
The rector highlighted the university's history, its activities and international relations. He said that the universitçy which was founded by Azerbaijani national leader Heydar Aliyev as a unique center of Slavic studies in the region, maintains close ties with a number of world universities.
Rector Hajiyev expressed his hope that meeting with the member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina would give impetus to the development of cooperation between the two countries' universities.
The rector handed a certificate and cloak of honorary doctor to the member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Mladen Ivanic stressed the importance of establishing relations between the two countries' universities, saying he will do his utmost to contribute to this.
