Inauguration of an Emergency Centre constructed in Bosnia and Hercegovina with support from the Heydar Aliyev Foundation takes place
On September 10, inauguration of a new building of the Emergency Centre, constructed with support from the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, in Kotor Varosh town of Bosnia and Hercegovina took place.
Executive Director of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Anar Alakbarov, member of the Presidium of Bosnia and Hercegovina, President Mladen Ivanić, Azerbaijan’s ambassador to this country Eldar Hasanov, adviser to the Serbian Republic’s health minister Miloyko Gruyichich, mayor of Kotor Varosh town Zdenko Sakan, director of the Health Centre Vladimir Bibich, as well as members of the Bosnia and Hercegovina’s Presidium, and local public attended the ceremony.
Speaking at the event, Anar Alakbarov conveyed sincere greetings of First Vice-president of the Republic of Azerbaijan, President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Mehriban Aliyeva. He noted that the Heydar Aliyev Foundation has been implementing projects in the fields of education, culture and healthcare, hosting charitable actions in various countries of the world, along with Azerbaijan. A number of religious temples have been repaired and reconstructed in the framework of projects implemented by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, and historical and architectural monuments restored, scientific conferences and forums promoting multiculturalism and tolerance hosted in Azerbaijan, where religious tolerance is dominating.
Anar Alakbarov said that Bosnia and Hercegovina is a friendly country to Azerbaijan, and deep mutual relations exist between our countries. Realized by the Foundation, these projects have been conductive to widening the relations between our countries and peoples further.
Member of the Bosnia and Hercegovina’s Presidium, President Mladen Ivanić thanked President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and First Vice-president of the Republic of Azerbaijan Mehriban Aliyeva for the successful accomplishment of another socially- and health-oriented project in his country, saying these projects have gladdened the peoples of Bosnia and Hercegovina.
Director of the Kator Varosh Health Centre Vladimir Bibich, speaking at the ceremony, appreciated significant social and humanitarian projects in various countries, including Bosnia and Hercegovina, as the sign of solidarity between our peoples, underscoring the significance of the Emergency Centre commissioned into operation, having been provided with state-of-the-art equipment in Kotor Varosh town, and an emergency car presented by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, thanked the leadership of the Foundation. He noted that the centre is a construction project recently realized in Kotor Varosh, which meets the contemporary and high standards, and it would play a significant role in improving local population’s quality of life.
Mayor Zdenko Sakan said the Heydar Aliyev Foundation has been awarded the “Golden Diploma” in April this year by a decision of the Municipal Assembly of Kotor Varosh for the support provided in the construction of a new building of the Emergency Centre, which is going to play a significant role in the life of the Kotor Varosh municipality, and presented the high award of the municipality to the Foundation’s Executive Director Anar Alakbarov.
Then opening of the new building of the Emergency Centre under the Kotor Varosh town’s Health Centre followed, and review of the building took place.
While being interviewed by mass media representatives during the event, residents of the town thanked President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and First Vice-president Mehriban Aliyeva for the support and attention shown towards their region.
Employed as a dentist at the Health Centre, Bilyana Lukich said that in the course of the seven years that she has been working in this centre, she witnesses, for the first time, establishment of such a new emergency centre. She said: “Inauguration of this centre means a lot to the residents of Kotor Varosh. The new centre will facilitate the work of the employees. The Heydar Aliyev Foundation has also presented us a new emergency car provided with the latest equipment. Of course, this transport facility will help us greatly in any extraordinary situation. I am hopeful, our cooperation will continue further.”
Director of the Health Centre Vladimir Bibich, thanking Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, First Vice-president Mehriban Aliyeva and the Heydar Aliyev Foundation for the matchless project, said: “Thank you for rebuilding the emergency service, and for the latest-technology emergency car. A centre provided with state-of-the-art has been constructed in the framework of this support project. The residents of Kotor Varosh are very happy for the new centre, and this centre would improve the quality of the healthcare service in our town further.”
Goran Mitich, one of the patients being treated at the health centre, taking this opportunity, thanked the government of Azerbaijan on behalf of the residents. He said the emergency car donated to the centre would soon show its high value and help those residing in remote areas and being in need of medical assistance.
Member of the Bosnia and Hercegovina’s Presidium, President Mladen Ivanić said in his interview that he had repeatedly been on a visit to Azerbaijan and each time returned with the feeling of great satisfaction. Noting his sincere friendly relations with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, M. Ivanić said he had personally asked to provide support to the small Kotor Varosh community. “I am very glad the Heydar Aliyev Foundation took on this project. This project is of significant importance to the people residing here, and to the whole community. In this region, Muslims, Catholics and people of the Orthodox faith have been living in a peaceful environment. I would like to once more thank President Ilham Aliyev and the Heydar Aliyev Foundation”, - said Mladen Ivanić.
The chairperson of the Presidium once more underscored the kind and friendly relations with the people of Azerbaijan, expressing a hope such projects and close cooperation would continue further.
